Perth Matagarup Bridge
Resembling two flying swans, The Madagarup Bridge is a pedestrian bridge crossing the Swan River between Burswood and East Perth. Madagarup is the Nyungar name for the area and means “place where the river is only leg deep, allowing it to be crossed”. With a maximum height of 72 metres and a total length of 560 metres, the bridge is a 3-span steel cable-stayed design with two piers in the river bed.
