The Kingston Butter Factory precinct in Logan, Queensland has been transformed into a world class cultural precinct that celebrates art and community. The Plaza area features a stylish Quasar modular shade structure that creates a sheltered outdoor space perfect for local community events.

Sky Skills incorporated a stunning white PVC membrane tensioned over a powder coated steel structure. The architectural grade PVC fabric, Mehler FR900-N with a Nano-Titanium PVDF coating, was chosen to provide a high level of protection from the elements. By linking two structures, we increased the shade and weather protected areas and produced a visually striking design.

The plaza area has been decorated with a colorful piece of artwork by local artists Sally Terare. “Wander Free”, is a contemporary design depicting the interconnected nature of the local flora, fauna and landscape.
